Welcome
Hello and welcome to Freuchie Community Council's website. This site will provide Freuchie residents with information on Community Council activities and keep you up to date with what's going on in your community. The website is for you so please provide us with feedback particularly if there is something which you want to draw to our attention or if there is other information you would like us to report on. Together we can work to make Freuchie a great place to live and work.
Please take time to look at the Minutes of Community Council meetings so that you are aware of the issues which the Community Council is addressing on your behalf. The Community Council meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm in the Lumsden Hall. These are public meetings that you are invited to attend. If you have a concern please come along and have your say or contact us using the Contact Form. You will also find details of other organisations you may find helpful on this website..
Freuchie Community Action Plan 2024 - 2028
Freuchie's Community Action Plan is based on feedback from residents on issues that matter to you and things you would like to see improved in the village. Copies have been distributed to households in the village but if you can't find your copy or didn't receive one you can click on the blue button below for an electronic version. The Action Plan will form the basis of the Community Council's activities for its term of office. We hope you find it interesting reading and will help toward making it happen in whatever way you can.
Twenty's Plenty
In response to concerns raised by villagers a team of local volunteers were trained by Police Scotland in 2024 to tackle the issue of speeding in Freuchie. Community Speedwatch operates in British summertime and volunteers will shortly be popping up at hotspots around the village. If you are interested in joining them please contact Nigel Reynolds on fccsecretarial@gmail.com who will explain the process and put you in touch with the community police.

Community Food Larder
Can you help?
The Lumsden Larder needs your support. If you can spare a few items of non perishable goods it would be much appreciated. The Larder exists to give our neighbours a helping hand when they need it. Donations can be left in the Foodbank box in the Spar or in the box in the Book Exchange at Lumsden Hall.
Investment in Freuchie Primary School
Fife Council is investing £2.7mi to remove ageing modular accommodation at Freuchie Primary School, replacing it with a permanent extension. The building and refurbishment programme will enable the primary classes and nursery to be under one roof. Enabling work commenced in July 2024. The project is due for completion in April 2026 when the new extension will be fully operational and all huts removed from the site.
